the valiant 47 is an exceptional long-range offshore performance cruising boat, designed for blue water sailing and comfortable living aboard. created by bob perry, it later evolved into the valiant 50 with the addition of a bowsprit and redesigned deck. this vessel became famous when william pinkney sailed solo around the world in 1990 aboard his valiant 47 "commitment.
