the offshore 54 is a traditional pilothouse yacht designed by famed naval architect william crealock. the fact that the offshore 54 is still in production (two currently in build) demonstrates her special attributes. her interior and exterior spaces are functional and comfortable. built on a semi-v hull with cored hull sides, moderate beam, and a deep prop-protecting keel, the offshore 54 is widely recognized for her quality construction and sea kindly handling characteristics. entering from the aft deck through double sliding doors, the single-level salon features a u-shaped lounge to port with teak hi-lo coffee table and twin swivel chairs opposite. just forward of the salon is the galley complete with corian counters and a pantry area. the pilothouse with dining settee, port and starboard deck doors, and pass-thru to the flybridge is three steps up from the salon. her two-stateroom layout has the master suite amidships with a dedicated stairway below. a separate stairway from the pilothouse accesses the vip stateroom forward. access to the flybridge is from the rear of the pilothouse or from the aft deck. akira is one of the best examples of this popular model. she has been beautifully maintained since new. her spacious layout and exquisite fit and finish makes her the ideal motoryacht for offshore passagemaking.
