the alerion 28 express descends from the lines of nathanial herreshoff's 26 alerion iii with a modern touch. she is designed as a daysailer/racer with an easy-to-handle sail plan and a cockpit for several people. the interior amenities are basic, with v berth forward and two side sets that can be day bunks. located to starboard is a sink with a cabinet, and to port is an electrical panel and electronics. the cabin floor is teak and holly replaced in 2020.
